Soaring Capital Coach Derek Hamilton Named New York State West Competitive Coach of the Year!

Coach Hamilton was presented with the prestigious award on November 23rd at the annual NYSWYSA meeting in Rochester, NY. The award is given to one coach in Upstate, New York that displays extraordinary accomplishments in the areas of promoting player development, good sportsmanship, personal coaching development, and involvement in the community. Award recipients are chosen from an area including Binghamton, Syracuse, Buffalo, Rochester, and everywhere in between. Coach Hamilton is the head coach of Soaring Capital Venom 2008 Boys.

In 2024, his team’s accomplishments include:

• New York State West Thruway League Champions (U16 top division)
• Broome County Soccer Association Champions (U16 top division)
• 2024 Penn Fusion Winter College Showcase Champions
• 2024 I88 Champions (Top Division)
• 2024 Buckingham United Spring Fling Champions (Top Division)
• 2024 Steel College Showcase @ Bloomsburg University Champions (Top Division)
• 2024 Needham Memorial Day College Showcase Finalists (top division)
• Venom Red 2008 boys are Currently Ranked #3 in NY State West and in the top 13% Nationally.
